Aliha is large village consisting of three hamlet- Bada Aliha, Jena Sahi and Sana Aliha. Its population is about 600 as per 2011 census . People are are largely farmers. The origin of the name of Aliha probably dates back to post Gohira tikiri Battle in 1568 AD between Kalapahad, the General of Suleiman Karrani, The Bengal Governor and King Mukund Dev, the last King of Surya dynasty and last independent King of Odisha. The army of Langula Narasimha Dev was told to have camped here on the way to battle field. Elder people say its earlier name was Radha Bishnupur.
