The last jaindar of kharoundha was babu prithwinath sahideo. Its then name was kharoundha estate. jamindari was invested to bihar govt in 1955.it is one of the oldest revenue villages of garhwa. It has one high school established in 1970. but at yet could not be upgraded in inter school due to negligence of officers.
