Nanaura village is very famous. The ruling Zamindari belonged to the Srivastava family of the Chaudhary AL. They donated their wealth and rest was taken away in the Land relocation act post independence.  Last ruling Zamindar were Chaudhary Prasiddh Narayan (S/O Ch. Thakur Singh). His uncle was a decorated officer in the British Indian Army(Major Ganga Narayan Srivastava) and his younger brother was a known politician from Motihari Shri Jagat Narayan. Most of this family has relocated to various parts of India and abroad and the old Palace remains abandoned in the Nanaura blooming with its historical heritage wanting to be told.
