Correct name is Gowasha shekhpura. It is panchayat which includes various village or can say mohalla e.g-1-Gowasha, 2-shekhpura, 3-Hafizpur karmaur, 4-chakmidad, 5-Meerachak, 6-Nayadeeh, 7-mushahari, 8-dhanuktoli, 9-Gherapar. Previously it was comes under Nawab Reign from shekhpura at the time of British,After independence Nawab families consequently sattled in abroad but their castle can be seen today which is said to 52 kothali 53 dwar.which is gradually demolishing itself due to lack of maintenance. 2nd major mohalla is Gowasha. It is named after Gau(cow) washa(shelter). 3rd mohalla is Hafizpur karmaur. It was named after A great saint (Sufi) Hafiz saheb who had a miracle Devine power so that he was very popular at that time. After his death mohalla was named so. Whose makwara is located in the center of panchayat known as Dargah par. Just in front of makwara there is Hindu Kali temple. The people of both religion (Hindu and Muslim ) are very famous there because of their Brotherhood. Panchayat was very developed from very beginning due to inhabitants of both religion with their various casts. Various trade were conducted from here related to agriculture, and marketing.But during 90's it was dropped due to internal fight between the villagers.it bring the village almost 30 years back.
