OverView of Balighattam
Balighattam village is on the banks of small river known as Uttara Vahini. It is nearer to town Narasipatnam. From Narsipatnam, one can enter tribal area of Visakhapatnam District. Thus, Narsipatnam is gate way of Agency area of Vizag District.
On the banks of Uttara Vahini, famous Samadhi of Shri Shri Shri Pakalapati Guruvugaru is located. During my piligrimage to Shri Pakakalapati Guruvugaru Samadhi, I visited village Balighattam village also.
Balighattam village is famous for two things
1. On the hill is a small ashram of famous saint known as Shri Chidgadanda Swamy (for details regarding this saint, one may refer to book namely "ANDHRA YOGULU" written Shri Rama Raju garu, a famou writer and authority on history of several saints from Andhra Pradesh.
2. There is temple dedicated to godess Lakshmi, developed by one saint name Shri Padmavathi Amma. She resides there. One should cross the river and reach foot of the hill to reach the temple. It is worth visiting place.
3.There is famous temple Brahmalinga swamy(Siva) Temple Doing festivals At the time of Karthika masam(month) owl the month and Maha sivaratri,Once up on a time This temple built in Devathas as for Grand grand fathers stores.
4.There is famous Punyasketra Uttara wahini (Dakshina KASI) Styanarayana swami old temple is there At the time of Karthika masam(month) owl the month and Maha sivaratri people will both at the nadi its called Varaha nadi,There one more ashramam available for devotes the ashramam name is Pakalapadu guru ji Ashramam nice place.
Balighattam is a very nice place in Visakhapatnam District for those people who want to see places with spiritual vibration.
