Main castes in this village are Brahmin, Dhobi, people of bahujan samaj(SC), julaha (muslim), bhat,bari and kahar.This village of Panktipawan mani tripathi saryuparin brahmins. For long they are renouned for their traditional secred daily living manner.History of this villge is more than 200 years old. This village came in existence when panktipawan mani brahmins came here as jamindar by getting Dan (donation) from some reasonal Babu saheb (Raja).
Julaha community of this village was earliar involved in handloom business. It was kutir udyog.But due to new policies this udyog is almost died.So people of this community are involved in other trades.Every year hundreds of youths are migrating for employment to metro cities like Bhivandi( Mumbai), Kanpur & Delhi.
Villagers main profession is farming. Some people have migrated to different cities but their roots are still in Hardi.
Main crop produced are Wheat,Paddy, Arhar,Peas, Mustard and little gram. Vegetable production is negligible, Condition of milk production in this village is also very poor. On population of more than 7000 per day milk production is less than 200 litre.
Economic condition of villagers is poor.More than 70% population is below poverty line.
Location- This village is 15 km north from Sant Kabir Nagar district head quarter. Nearest railway station is Khalilabad at 17 km distance and domestic airport is Gorakhpur at 55 km distance. Capital Lucknow is at distance of 240 km.
