OverView of Nimgaon Bhogi

Village Nimgaon Bhogi has very old history. The ancient name of this village was "Kuranache Nimagon" Here Kuran means a land of Grass. Means there were plenty of grass was available here. Still some old people identifies this village as "Kuranache Nimagaon".

The main occupation of the villagers was agriculture. But due to lack of water and rain lot of people migrated to Mumbai for job. Now plenty of water available and therefore agriculture business is in progress. Near the village Ranjangaon MIDC is established and lot of people engaged in job.

The village celebrates every festival including some special  devotional programmes like Akhand Harinam Saptaha. But the main religious  function is yearly "URUS" which comes every year on third day of Gudhi Padva. Every person of the village attends this function. This function is of three days. First day Chabina, Second day Bull cart race and Lok Natya, and third day Loknatya hajeri and wrestling called hagama. Every house, every person with their relatives celebrates this function with full of joy.   

In the rainy season the village looks like green forest, as everywhere green crops seen. Lot of grass get available.

Now the rapid development of the village is going on.  Construction work of roads, School building, primary school building, water thru taps facility, electrification etc going on rapidly under the advice of old people and operated by young gerneration leadership.

There are certain people living in the villange since its existance and the speciallity of this is nobody migrated to other place till now. On their last time people prefer to stay here only. There are majority of two casts is village. One is Mali and other is Marathas. Some other backwrad cast families also living peacefully in the village. The families who had not migrated till from Mali Samaj are Raskar,Kalamkar,Gaikawad,Lokhande, Londhe,Jadhav,Vyavahare,Raut, and From Maratha Samaj are Pawashe,Sambare,Shewale,Ichake,Kothawale,Kharmale,Modhave,  etc. Other families, named Bhalerao,Padale, Shaikh.Jadhav,Kunte,Jagtap from different communities also staying in the Village.   

There are different and very ancient temples in the village. At the entry from West a huge Hanuman Temple is there. People says this is a Jagrut Devasthan and protects from calamities, dangers. Pirsaheb temple, Shri Shankar temple is also there. Noe people constructed a huge Sant Sawata Mali Temple in the village.

The population of village is spread due their lands. Out of total approx. 500 houses only 100 houses are located in the village. Other homes are situated in each ones land. Now Electricty is there. ST bus facility is available for two times in a day. Dairy projects are there. Plenty of job opporunities ars available and therefore savings of the people is increased. Almost every house had a bike now. Some had purchsed four wheelars also. 

There are two school buildings and school upto Std.10 is there. Now third building construction is going on.

In Short the village, the people of village, the culture of village is progressing and changing rapidely as per the changing environment of world.
