Chillargi has great history, It was samsthanam and was controlled by Deshmukhs for over two centuries and under them there were many villages like Kodapgal, parredpally, Siddapur, Rampur, Kurthi, Gouraram, Maddelcheruvu, Bandapally, Banda Renjal, Annaram etc. Deshmukhs used to collect taxes and pay to Nizam and entire administrative activity used to happen from Chillargi only. There was 2000 acres land under them in different villages The. First of Deshmukh family was Venkat Rao Deshmukh Sr and his children Narsinga Rao Deshmukh & Venkat Rao Deshmukh Naguboth Nagara was beaten every hour on the top of Boorju and there was beautiful Gadi was there with many bunglows among them Addala Bunglow was very famous.All communities were there in Chillargi and their main occupation was farming and people lived in harmony in Chillargi.
