OverView of Balala
Balala that is tiny village is one of the ancient village having anecdotes after its establishment. A reason is given that in the past it used to be a large village that had boundaries of population up to neighbor villages i.e. Lapon, Madpur, Lal kalan and Kehra.Its name BALALA was emerged from BAL+ALA that means a person having power either spiritual or physical. Back to 16th centuries a saint named Hasat Lal stayed in this village and used to spend time for devotion to God (Bhakti). But the tyrant headmen of village punished Him for some kind of tax for using the land of village. They put handcuffs and made him to sit on the colony of ants.
One of the wise person paid tax on the behalf of Baba Hast Lal ji and got released to Him. Baba ji left the village right away and gave curse that the whole village will be destructed. With these words the village started to destroy and it was no less than disaster. The clues are visible even now as the village is having huge inequality on the levels of ground.
Then people came to know that it’s happening due to curse. They followed Baba Hasat lal ji in the way and requested to forgive them and bless the village. On their repeated requests He said that a fire is burning and told them to see the green part of it. Only the part of village will be saved as much green sparkle in the fire will be existing. Finally on the tiny part of village people got survived.
Even now people worship Baba Hast lal ji. On the 13th January there is annual procession and folks from far away come there for the blessings. None goes dissatisfied who begs about kids, marriage and other prosperity of life. They need to give only 1 and half Jaggery on the place of Baba Hasat lal.
