OverView of Kharhia
Kharhiya, presently known as khadiya village has 2 parts. Existing so many decades before lower gangaa canal formation.one part is khadiya on north bank of lower gangaa canal and other is Nagla Lodhi on south bank of this canal. In ancient times, Rajputs from Ajmer attacked on Bilram( today Bilgram)and defeated the ruler.so after battle, brave Army captain settled here. Khadg, a weapon used in battle was exercised with sword, here and had to use khadg in small battles. From khadg, it became slowly khadiya. And the Rajputs who settled here, had with them,2 to 3 families of all casts. on digging, earthen pots are still recovered.It's in continuation of previous post, recently sent. Village khadka, is also a religious village. due to lower ganga canal and proximity of ganga river, which is 10 km away, Number of saints come here. One famous and most prestigious land mark of khada village is it's old Grand " SHREE LAXMI NARAYAN TEMPLE". This temple dates back 150 years. Built with lime mortar and small bricks and white stone plates in ceilings. Its Hight is 50feet.On it's tomb, statues of hindu dieties are made. On inner tomb, all carnations of lord Vishnu are shown with statues. Marvelous, grand old temple, famous in area, is the pride of Khada village. This temple was built by Gaud Rajputs of Khadiya, nearly 6 to 7 generations back.( Today, their sir name has become GURHAR, from GAUD Of AJMER, because of so many deformations of language), who settled here after wining Bilram battle, centuries back. This Gaud rajput community today known as GURHAR, is scattered in Soron, Kasganj, Etah blocks.
