OverView of Anchra Khurd
Anchra Khurd is a small village about 15km from its Tehsil Safidon, district Jind. Its population is approximately 3500 as on 01.01.2013. The people belongs to mainly cast-Ror, Pandit, Saini, Jat, Harijan, Valmiki, Dhanak and some Muslims. Near by villages are Baghru kalan, Baghru Khurd, Harigarh (Kheri), Haat, Sinkh, Pathri, Sarfabad. There are 5 chaupals, one high school, one primary school and one no veterinary hospital. The most villager are farmers. This village have a good record of giving National Heroes in defence services. One can reach by bus from Safidon and Gohana (Distt-Sonepat).Anchera khurad was established by Mohar singh rod with the help of Ramklan(his cousin), In the year 1850 near by. He was the biggest landlord of the village. His old residence was village Kurana distt panipat now. He was from jaglan family, decent of raja jaglan. Raja was the first and famous in the family. with the name of Raja there is Raja pana in Anchera khurad & kurana.
Though it was established by Ror/Rod family it is also called Anchera Rodan/ Rodon wala Anchera. In this village Rods has specially respect for brahmin/pandit. Some brahmin family came from Kurana with these persons & Some sheltered from Ahar village near Kurana Rors are pure Hindus, these peoples changed their caste from rajput as the history say. In Muslim period these rulers forced to join them with the marriage of the ror ladies/girls. This caste prohibited strictly .Jat became mullah jat but ror did not become Muslim with the fear of rulers like Orangeade. Ror changed their caste from Chohan Rajput. They decided that they will not give their daughters to Muslims, If they give, they will take their daughters, This trend was called Santha, in rors families maximum people follow this rule till now. If one Ror marry his sister, he tries to marry with the sister of his jija. In this way onr Ror almost becomes jija of his jija. Very very interesting story told by Bahadur singh jaglan (Rod).
