The village Thettu was ruled by Kamakoti family who is descendants of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham which is a Hindu monastic institution located in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. Right from Kamakoti Thirunatha Rao, Thettu and the near villages were ruled by this family by giving the lands for forming and helping the needs of the villages. Being landlords, they have donated nearly 300 acres with minimal or no charges to RISHI VALLEY school, a Jiddu Krishna Murthy foundation. Later, the legacy of Kamakoti has been continued even today. The legendary personality named Sri Kamakoti Ramamurthy Rao who was unanimously elected as a Sarpanch right from the formation of the panchayat (village government) and continuously won 6 terms spanning 30 years. On the sudden demise of Sri Ramamurthy Rao, his family members have continued the legacy for another 15 years. Later on, in the year 2009 elections again, Kamakoti Prasad Rao (Chairman Gnanodaya High school Madanapalle) has become Sarpanch for 5 years till the year 2014.Edit below overview about Thettu
