Jewariyabad also known as Jewari is a Village situated in block Barhani , District Chandauli, and Division Varanasi as its administrrative head. Jewari is quiet big village which population is more than 5000. Resident of this village are almost of all caste and.village was never known for violence w.r.r.t. caste. But Rajput of Nagwanshi Clan are found in majority in this village approx 200 families belong to rajput also known ad thakur but the equality of this village is a symbol for humanity the current Pradhan (head) of this village belongs to harijan. Geography- Jewariyabad is well connected by road and railways as NH-97 Saiyadraja to Gazipur passes through it, even Varanasi ,largest city from this village is only 40 km away from it. Largest railway station mughalsarai is only 20 km away from it. Nearest railway.station Saiyadraja is hardly 4 km from it. Education- The education system of this village is quite good, village has govt school and even public school are available near by of Jewari , one Degree college is also their for higher education. The literacy rate of.the village is quite and even the sex ratio is quite appreciable of this village. Crops- Jewari is known for its crop like various species of Rice ,Wheat,Cereals and grams. History- Jewariyabad was founded by father of Nagwanshi( Rajput Dynasty) of four btothers named Thakur Vindheshwari Singh, Thakur Rajeahwari Singh, Thakur Ganga Singh, Thakur Udai Singh. The family belongs to big zamindar which had more than 1600 bigah land and a chavni which was k/a Gola that was situated in barahani (present day's block). Jewariyabad meaning a place full of jewelry though it was very prosperous bcoz of the kind attitude and behaviour of the rajput zamindar"s family . The history of rajput zamindar's was as ironic as u really used to listen . The family had four giant elephant and each of the elephant was enter without bending his neck as the entrance gate of bakhri (premises) was so big . Thakur Udai Singh was famous pehalwan of this family and felt proud to his family bcoz unke bahaduri k charche Kolkata(Calcutta) tak the. Thakur Udai Singh and Kamla pati Tripathi (tatkalin Rail Mantri) was good family friend of that time and Kamla pati tripathi freq used to vist the legacy of Thakur Udai Singh's family. Later in next generation Thakur Thribhuvan Narayan Singh was known for its pehalwani though whole of this family was great admired of khushti and Varjish (work out). In next generation after thakur Vindheshwari Singh and his brothers , the family expand their territory and one of the son of these four brothers Thakur Ramagya Singh married to only daughter of Rajput Zamindar of Chandauli and acceded Chandauli 's Gola as his territory. Zamindar word made some people annoyed but this family did much for the prosperity of their villagers like the pond (pokhra) was donated by late Thakur Shiv Shankar Singh when his brother k/a late Thakur pradhan dada was pradhan of the village ,the family constructed Shiv temple and Durga temple in their own land for their villagers and it was renovate by Thakur Awadesh Narayan Singh an IPS officer of 1962 batch and a youngest gem of family that timed retired as Director General of Police Madhya Pradesh ,the family also donated their land to poor people of village to live and Thakur Awadesh Narayan Singh was also help almost 80percent of villagers, due to him many were became able to fulfil for their daily needs and livelyhood .Later Zamindari was abolished by govt and whole charge of the village was handover to panchayats and barahani became a block of this Village. But the villagersenior citizen of the village still used tobtell the untold story of this village jewariyabad meaning a place full of prosperity. The people belongs to this village is more versatile ,innovative,literate and hard working in various field and various part of the country that make this village to feel proud.
