Decades ago there was no any existence of village likeUGALVAN, except one Ancient Divine Deity on top of the hill, it is said the deity had self emerged from earth to save farmers from natural disaster. After that farmers and other nearby people started worshiping deity and recognized it as goddess AAI KHODIYAR.
As time passed many communities and religions started worshiping goddess and came here from town MAHUVA ( the big port and business hub of that time ) district BHAVNAGAR and also nearby from surrounding villages. As people say that there is lots of divine vibrations which helps in fulfilling any desires. Devotes also constructed huge temple on deity and also pathway to reach there easily.
Slowly many people stared living near the hill surrounding the temple and also started small business related agro and farming as near temple hill, there are lots of beautiful small hills and Malan river reservoir also there is a DAM middle of it all. And this is how it slowly transformed into small village name UGALVAN.
