OverView of Kodi Konda
This village is situated in front of the hill, which gives a beautiful weather and scenery for the village. This place has a very wide history. This is the place which ruled by the rulers of Krishnadevaraya i.e. (Paalegaalu). This village is a historical place where visitors all over the country come and visit this place. This place is very much famous for Goddess Sapthamtru Devi usually called as Akkamma Thalli, where every Tuesday and Friday many devotees come and worship goddess. This temple is located on top of the hill at the place where the kings resided earlier. The people here celebrate fare every year in the name of goddess which will be celebrated for around 5 days.Coming to the development of the place, the main reason and the person for the development was Late Anna Ramakrishnaiah. He was the main person who brought the telephone connections to the village, the first to build Groundnut Factory for the help of farmers where they can sell their crops to the factory without any difficulty of selling it to the market which is very far, for the education of the students he himself went and sanctioned the government school which will be helpful to the people of around 20 villages for their education. He was also nominated as the President of the Panchayath, where he didn't face any opposition for more than 35 years. His authority over his post and ruling was amazing and astonishing as according to his rule no police should come in to the village, all the matters will be settled by himself only police are allowed in the special reasons. Over his period he made many progressions like getting jobs to the people who are in need, paying fees of students education where whose parents were not in a condition to spend, he literally paid all the property taxes in the village during his rule as the people were not able to afford.
He is the only man where he didn't take a single rupee for his post or the work, in return he gave all his salary for the development of the village. He is the person who was respected as a God in the area where even all the politicians and other big people were standing at his arrival. The other details will be updated soon.
