Katwa college is situated at katwa ofburdwan district, West Bengal. This college is affiliated to University of Burdwan.The College was initially affiliated to Calcutta University until Burdwan University was established on 16th June 1960. This coeducational institution offers three-year UG honours & general courses in humanities, sciences & commerce & one-year BEd course. Katwa College has a study centre of Netaji Subhas Open University
There are 58 full time teachers and 30 part time teachers the college.
From its inception the college undertook the task of providing access to higher education to the students (both boys and girls) of the rural communities the benefit of their urban and city counterparts.
