Kataru chak is village of communists. it is famous by a historical place namely chatpat vani. chatpati means a small but thick forest. there is also situated a beautiful temple of Lord Shiva, a separate bowli (place for bathing).

Kataru Chak (Kataruchak) is major village in Pathankot district of Punjab with a population of over 2000. It is famous for an old Shiv Temple named Chatpat Bani. Chatpat Bani means a quickly formed forest. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. You can also find temples of other dieties in this temple. At the entrance, a big idol of Lord Hanuman is installed. a fair organised by the committee in every year on the occasion of shivratari. Also the village is famous for its licchi transportation ,there are lots of big farms of licchi here which is even transportation upto Delhi. The licchi here are best way of income for daily wagers and even for land owners in the months of May to July mid
