There is also a small hill name Somappana Betta where you can find Shivalinga. People worship this god when there is no rain in this area. There are instances where heavy rain has come after worship.
This village has high school, police station, post office and hospital. There are importnat temples: Grama devathe chikka Kariyamma, and Dodda kariyamma, Anjaneya, Eshwar, Shri Kodandarama, Lakshmana, Sita, Anjaneya, Ganapathi, Chandramouleswara and Shri Shankaracharya. Recently Shri Rama Koti vrindavan is also established.Grama devathe Doddakariyamma is Black color represent Kali and Chikka Kariyamma is Gowri in gold colour . Doddakariyamma never enters in Village and only Chikka Kariyamma  pallaki. Enters during festivals and on occasions where devote  pray for solution at their house .

This temple was built about 80 years under the leadership of shri Jwala Narasimha Shastry, Hanumantha Rao, Bhima rao, Dasappa Mestru, Padamanabha Shastry, Nagesh of Nagagondanahalli and other important heads of Brahmin and other communities. This Shri Rama temple was inaugurated by Shri Narayana Samartha swamiji from Harihara .

Due to unforces circumstances daily pooja of Shri Rama temple was discontinued. We started probing reasons for this and then under guidance of shri Shama jois temple took new direction. Horse sone was laid on entrance has been removed and stalled in verticals position. Horse is called Lakshmi and people are walking on horse stone.

Recently Sri Kodanda Rama temple is renovated by grandsons namely, Sri Ramakrishna, Sanjeeva Murthy, Purushothama Sharma, Simhadri Sharma, Prabhakar, Muralidharaa, Srinath and brothers, Shama Rao, Ramakrishna, Narasimha Murthy,Anand,SathyaprasadRavishankar, Rama Murthy, Ramakrishna Puttanna Mahadev Bhat ,Gurunath Bhat of Nagagondabahalli, Dattatreya, Satynarayana, Radhakrishna  smt Padmavathamma and her son Ravikumar Kundurpi and other members of Brahmin communities. This temple is patronized by sri sri Shrungeri Swamiji. Recently we have improved our temple by constructing entrance wall and idols of Shri sankara,Sri Rama,Sita,Lakshamana and Eeshwara and Kalasa and giving attraction to our temple .Shri mathi Lalithamma and Shri Krishna Murthy family from kaluvehalli took initiative and contributed for construction.

Brahmins of this place brought purohits from Vedadri nearly 200 years ago for their village to conduct religious functions. they spoke Telegu and settled here only. Jwala narasimha sastry was well known scholar and ayurvedic pandit. His name referred by TA RA SU in his novels on many occasions. Padmanabha shastry his cousin brother is also well known pandith and dramatist.

In this village we have found ruins of stones like, kusha stopping ashwamedha yaga, idols of kings from this we feel that this was ruled by a palegara. research is need to investigate. 

Vedvathi river circles a village very near to jajur village called vrindavana hallai. Recently govt has built a check dam for vedavathi river at vrinadavana halli. Jajur is a mandal  surrounded by group of villages. The writer of this article welcome any left out items .
