This village belongs to Jat community who are mostly of Nehwal clan, talking about history, the clan "Nehwal" is a sub-clan of a bigger gotra of Jats known as "Nauhwar"or "Nohwar". This gotra is primarily found in braj region specially in Mathura, during mugal era some people of Nauhwar clan migrated from braj and setteled here and established this village, due to change in dilects, (from braj bhasa to khari boli) slowly from generation to generations the name changed from "Nohwar" to "Nohwal" and later "Nehwal". The famous badminton player Saina Nehwal was born in Hisar district of Haryana, but her roots is primarily from this village while other sources say that she was originally born in this village, later her family settled in hisar.
