The oldest/eldest village among the villages of Japukong, longsemdang (now Longjemdang) village has its history from saramati regions and also from eastern Nagaland. The village is Well know for Pottery the only village apart from Changki which practice the art of pottery and indeed the only Supplier for the Ao Community in the ancient times. The Village also has a history of Ahom- Ao Naga relation, where the Ahoms and the Village of Longsemdang opened a "Rongpang" (Gateway) of trade between the two people know as "Hatigora Rongpang".
