1. Sollapuram Village with 5048 acres of Geographical area is very nice and cool place and one of the best villages in Kanekal Mandal .It also got Adharsha Grama Award.The village receives very less rainfall during Kharif season and more scattered one in Rabi season completely depending on rainfed crops due to its typical location in the district.Around 100 families have 25-30 acres of land and another 150 families have 5-20 acres of land .The average productivity of a crop is below normal due scanty rainfall.We used to Cultivate crops like BengalGram ,Jowar,Coriander,Cotton ,Sunflower etc., The soil is black in nature which requires drizzling rainfall and not a downpouring type and feasible to cultivate crops like carindor, Groundnuts, jowar etc., Around 6-10 kms distance,Thungabhadra High level canal flows but drawal of water by gravity is difficult. where as Handri- Neeva Sujala Sravanthi canal which flows near Raketla village (10Kms distance) , If canalised, would produce a variety crops in nearly 10000acres of land and ultimately add a good revenue to state GSDP. Agriculture Labour with 100 families do migrate to cities like Bangaluru,Tirupati,Hyderabad and Hospet in lean season to ekout their living 2. One of the best villages which is near to all best populated cities like Anantapur, Bellary, Guntakal, Kurnool, Bangalore etc., with a maximum travelling time of 5 Hours 3.We are going to celebrate All Hindu/Muslim Religious Festivals every Year 4. We are not showing any differences between people in the village we used to call fellow people like relations viz.,Uncle, aunty, brother ,nephew etc.5.The banking sector with canara Bank located at a distance 6kms in Nimabagallu and Rural Cooperative bank at Kanekal provide adequate agri/Non agri short term and Medium term loans for their economic activity 6. Recently we got one project related to Wind Power generation due to this The land value had increased to double the market value rates. 7. Most popular festivals like Muharram, Dhashera, Ugadi, Sree Ram Navami and Vinayaka Chavithi are celebrated with full gaity 8. When Comes to politics, people are aspiring for better development of the villages from the active participation of local youth leadership.9. The village needs a community library and Filtered drinking water supply.Medical facilities are to be improved a lot.
