Sonai is a beautiful village near parham, this place is famous for the qila of parikshit, the last pandave king,he did yagya here and supposed to have destroyed all the snakes at time in that yagya, beside this fact one more interesting fact is concerned to near village Sonai, Every year, there is held a fair, famously known as ' zakhai mela', this fair is organised to commemorate the great rathore warrior known as zakhai- there is a story about it, which i come to know from my grandfather and other native people from this area. When Prithviraj chauhan took away sanyogita forcefully from kannauj, then rathore sena followed prithviraj to capture him, but in the way, all of them either returned of killed by Prithviraj, ZAKHAI was the last man to be died in that war. So it is the place where Prithviraj killed zakhai and as zakhai was killed in trying to stop prithviraj- the chauhan warrior, he is considered as one of the greatest warrior of all the time among rathores, and to commemorate his martyr they all gathered at the place where he was killed by prithviraj this place is 5 KM away from Sonai. , under the Sonai have Shiv Temple witch is lord of Kshtriya..
