There are two villages of same origin. The two villages are Tirgam in Baramulla and Trigam in kishtwar. These were places where scholars of TRIKA SHAIVISM once lived.Both these villages were originally TRIKGRAM. first changed into Tiraggam to Tirgam in Baramulla where as in kishtwar, TRIKGRAM changed to Triggam to Trigam. People of Trika shaivism moved down to plain around 14-16th c.these clans of brahmin write their surname as Trignath or Tignath, basically changed from Triknath.
