Diezephe is a a village of about 160 houses and has maximum people of the village belong to the Chakasang tribe. There are members from the Angami , Ao , Rengma and Sema tribes as well . The village is the declared artisans village of Nagaland where beautiful articles are turned and carved out of teak . It also houses the headquarters of Exotic Echo, an NGO who have been working in the village from mid 2008 . The organization has a handicraft display centre , a convenience shop and a beautiful bamboo machan restaurant. The village has six churches , one health centre , two schools. one petrol pump and one big football field apart from all the other artibutes of a Naga village.
Exotic Echo has pledged to create at least one basic but sustainable income of some sort to at least one willing member of each household of the village within the next five years . The village is beautiful , lush green with a lot of water bodies.
