Kota village is situated near the banks of Vyarama River. This village was submerged with the flood water of Vyarama river thrice in last 50 years.This village is provided with drinking water and electricity. There are about 100 houses in this village. Agriculture farming is the main occupation of the villagers .There is one Govt.primary school for boys & girls (co-ed) having two buildings built on the land donated by Late Shri Vishwanath Prasad Agarwal S/O Late Shri Gyaprasad Agarwal ( who was the Zamindar during british rule) and Late Shri Dashrath Lal Agarwal S/o Late Shri Vishwanath Prasd Agarwal respectively.Also, there is one Govt. Junior High school(co-ed). There is one ancient temple and water well which feeds the water to whole village.On every friday ,there used to operate a Baazar, where all vegetable & fruit vendors from near by villages come to sell their produce. Also, kirana merchants from Patera mandal used to come with their grocery items to this bazar. Also, some sweet shop keepers s do come to this village baazar.The bazzar operate at the main chowk of the village ,where there was a big old baniyan(peeapl) tree and and a big Statue of Lord Hanuman Ji. The tree is no more now but Lord hanuman is still there.
There is a mosque .In this village, hindu and muslims lives in a true brotherhood and each of them attend the fuctions and other ceremonies together. Most of the villagers are poor as they depend on crops..There is no irrigation means.
About , half a kilometer towards Muari Village, there is an ancient place of worship known as Shree Shiddhan Baba. You may get your wish fulfilled here if you pray with clear heart. Also, there is an ancient cave near Shri Siddhan baba , the other end of which opens near the banks of Vyarma River ( approx. 3-4 km from here)near a ghat known as Aakhara Ghat.. You should never try to enter in this cave as most of its path is blocked and lot of poisonous insects live there.
This village is well connected from Hatta Tahsil via Pater -Kundalpur (24 Kms) and from Damoh District via Patera-Kundalpur(38 Kms). One has to cross the river near Ramgara Village by boat in rainy season however in winter & summer you can cross it yourself as the water during these seasons receeds to thigh/knee level. A bridge is under construction across this river .All the pillars with some girders are ready. The work is in progreess and hope it will be ready in next six months.with the operation of this bridge, Patera and kundalpur will get connected to Panna District ( well known for its Diamond mines).
There is a small mountain facing this village. You can climb in the evening to have a nice hill view.
Kundalpur is about 3 kms from this village which is the birth place of Rukmani ji( first wife of Lord Krishna).Lord krishna came to this village in Dwapur Yuga to marry Rukmani. Ther is still a MUTH known as Rukmani Muth.
