kurmichak is a famous village of ghoswari block of patna district.It was famous for production of pulses and huge fertile land.it was also famous for kurmi landlord Sita Ram Babu who owned 2250 bighas of land.It is a rular area. There are two primary schools, one middle school and a high school. It is known also the home of Mahto Baba.
Oldest zamindar of this village are tota garaiyn then bakke garaiyan and the ram saran garaiyan, also known as garaiyji family were relative of amawa raj and were most powerful in Mokama.
