Belahar is in Mainpuri district of Uttar Pradesh. The village is about 300 years old. It is 30 km south of district headquarter. It falls in Hajipurnera post office of newly formed tehsil Gheror. Previously it was in Karel tehsil. The distance from Gheror Tehsil is about 16 km. It is connected by road to Karel and Gheror. From the main road the village is about one and half kilometres on Belahar Maramai road. It is about 5 km away from Kosma railway station. It is situated on the left bank of Sengar river. Abdulnavipur is the Gram Panchayat of this village.  The population of the village is about 800 of which approximately 90% are literate. The entire village is resided by Ahir Yadavas except few other communities. The main occupation of the residents of the village is agriculture. The holdings are however, very small and marginal. Some of the families of the village also have their family members working as government officials. A small thorny fuel wood forest has developed near the village which has become a habitat of wild cows. The farmers face problem because of these wild cows as they enter the the farms and destroy the crops.
