Raghunathpalem is one of the big villages in Nalgonda Dist and is surrounded by many of Cements factories. This village is very popular for flooring stones and lime stones. The muslim population is equally same as Hindus and you find many of Christian families also in this Village. The popular temple in the Village is Sri Seetharama Swamy Temple, wherein every year, Srirama Navami festival is celebrated in a grand way. Like this, other religious festivals like Ramzan, Bakrid, Christmas etc., are also celebrated with the same tempo and taste. Now the village has got good road connectivity with newly laid double tar roads from Mattampally and from Mellacheruvu. The Govt School "Zilla Parishad High School" has earned good name because of it's quality education and many of its students have been very well placed in many of the Govt and Private organizations.
