jalpally is the oldest village of Hyderabad,it was the drinking water source to Hyderabad, from its lake by name Umda Sagar.This lake is completely occupied by the land grabers.under mission Kkatya nobody turned to see this lake. This village has localities Pardi guda, Madigagudam and Sriram colony also Madanna guda these are the old localities.

Further Jalpally is just 10-11 km. from Hyderabad,not 53 kms., the nearest Railway station is Falaknuma and Shamshabad.The only Govt.school is there up to 8th.class.There is no proper road to aproach from Pahadi shareef main road, only four times bus service is available towards Charminar and Kothi via chandrayangutta.
