This village has been a part of the then princely state Sirohi and was in possession of Dungarawat Deora clan. The estate was granted to Thakur Surtan Singh for his heroic performance against the troop of Decoit TILIYA MEENA by killing him. This village is situated on the Bank of west Banas river. There is a famous Temple of goddess Ashapura. The first priest in this temple was Shri Sablaji Rebari. And after him their son Shri Vaga Ramji Rebari served their life for people ( regarding food, water, staying in temple etc.) visiting in this temple. Mr. Ganga Sनingh Deora is Present Thakur and head of the clan.

In this village about seven cast's people are living.

Among them Dewasi Samaj is very brave, innocence, honest and a kind nature cast. This cast is also known as Rebari/Maldhari bcoz dewasis served their life for animals like cow, baffallow, camel, got, sheep etc. So many Dewasi peoples sacrificed their life to protest Sarveshwar Temple from Alauddin Khalji.
