Initially this village is a thota(big garden) under "jamendhari's".after that they sell to the peoples who cultivated there lands, jamendhar has appointed gattem venkanna as the head for his lands, jamendhra had constructed the "security wall(attugathu)" for the villages from the salt lake(upputarru).

Electricity is brought to this village and also near by villages(kalipatnam, neddittippa, komidittippa, marritippaand jaganadhapuram) by naddipalli ramakrishna, koppineni venkatratnam(Rattaiah), 

motupalli venkataratnam, thotakuri krishnam raju, gattem suryanarayana, kaurru ranga rao, padavala nala suranna..

Gattem venkanna is the person who take care the responsiblities of this village such as garma cherruvu (pirracharuvu) and ramalyan-cherruvu. in this village lord rama temple constructed by the ancestors of  the "padavala's" family.

There are two schools in this village one is government elementary school and st.mary's e.m high school and a hospital also.

The major occupation is farming(paddy) previously but now aqua-culture and also mangoes and gooseberries farming.the first gram president is gattem suryanarayana. Second padavala krishna murthy.

"rajiv gandhi" visited this village by boat.  This village has "society bank" which is in mandal head quaters mogaltur.even this village is industrially developed like in this village is the attarillu of  "bandhi mutyalam". For every 3-years "yamkkam" festival is celebrated. Two bridges are constructed for the transport in this village at the time of n.t.r under kothapalli subbarayudu(m.p).
