Zilla Parshad High School (ZPHS) is existed in Polampalli Village, in Vatsavai Mandal, in Krishna District. The High School was Established in 1964-65 with initiative of then Village Karanam Late Sri Komaragiri Venkata Apprao , Village elders, the then first Sarpanch Sri Katepalli Appaiah, and land was acquired freely from Villagers. First it was started in the House of the Sarpanch. Long back , Polampalli boarder Camp was among 17 or 18 established (as per guidance and initiative of late Bommakanti Satyanarayana Rao garu veteran Freedom Fighter) at the Nizam State Border, held in this Village ( along with some other boarder Villages ) the people trained in the Camps fought against the Rajakars onslaught on Hindus. Very Old ' Matam 'was existed besides Sivalayam and Mutyalamma (Gramadevatha) Temple as per old history, to support this view, a well called Matam Bavi, (very Big Well) , which then catered water needs of Village in all seasons, vacant land was kept beside it just to stay bullock carts for operating trading activities, opposite to Shiva Temple is still existed. Till my High School days (1968-69) Villagers used this well Water as it never dried. A well called Chalam bavi existed at Village water bed (Cheruvu) Jaggayyapet is around 24 Kms , and similarly Khammam is also around 25 km. Railway Connectivity Station Bonakal is 6 miles . Agri based village, one of the best and good revenue Revenu Villages in Jaggayyapet Taluq. Post Office and postal services, Panchayat Radio are also available. K V Bharath Kumar, second Son of the Village Karanam was born in this Village & Studied up to SSC in ZPHS, Polampally (1965-69) . His father and grand father worked as Village Karanams served the Village with great care., for more than 70 years. A dam on the Muneru is in this Village many Political leaders of Congress and other parties visited. Prominent personality among them was late Dr KL Rao, the then Central Irrigation Minister. After some time when I visited the village some of my friends told that AP CM (Late Sri Rajasekhar Reddy garu) visited the Village. Late Sri Apparao garu greatly aspired for CMs visit to the Village, unfulfilled his life time. “శ్రీరామ”
