Patratoli lies three kilometres beyond lodma market on the Ranchi-karra road . It is separated from village chiur by a rivulet whose name is the same as village chiur . Perhaps the village chiur gets its name from the river. Chiur is an agriculturally prosperous place with industrious and innovative farmers. Chotanagpur integrated farms and plantations is one such farms which came up on barren,eroded wasteland and is now a paradise known to few. The person who started this venture is journalist who gave the village and the area its first knowledge of lift irrigation and quality farming. While the elderly members of this farm look after the upkeep of this farm, the owner lives with their children in the city to look after their educational and healthy developmental needs . The farm supports this mission of the journalist.
