The nearest Railway Station is Kherli on Bharatpur Jaipur Railway Line. Kherli is about 12 Kms from Reta via Kathumar. Another Railway Station is Nagar on Alwar Mathura Railway Line which is about 14 Kms via Kathumar. 

The Reta Village is surrounded by nearby Villages namely; Hanipur, Reti, Dudheri, Mudia, Bharithar & Masari. Rajasthan Roadways Buses run in between Alwar and Kherli (via Laxmangarh or Nagar). The Buses are also available from Jaipur to Delhi via Kherli Kathumar Nagar. All the Buses pass through Kathumar, which is Tehsil & Block Development Headquarter. The Reta Village is Headquarter of Gram Panchayat comprising of five villages namely; Reta, Hanipur, Reti, Dudheri, Mudia & Bharithar. Village has Patwar Ghar, Community Health Centre, Government Secondary School. 

The village mainly comprises of Jat Community and other casts like Luhar, Kumbhar, Jogi, Balai & SC also lives. Some of the families of SCs & Jogies have shifted to their farm lands & settled there in small colonies. The Main source of income of the villagers is from farming sector as most of the villagers own their agricultural fields. Main Crops cultivated are Musturd (Sarso), Wheat (Genhu), Millet (Bajara & Juwar), Gawar, few varieties of pulses etc. Majority of the farmers have their own irrigation system like bore wells with electrical connections. Some of the farmers also own tractors for cultivation.  Most of the houses in the Village are built with concrete (Pukka) and also have electrical connections with some gadgets like Television, Refrigerator etc.

Another source of income is from milking cattle like Buffalo, Cows,etc and selling the milk to dairy.  
The people are aware of importance of education and go to Kathumar / Kherli / Alwar for graduation and higher studies. There are about 25 Government employees from the village serving in various departments of Central / State Government. The Language spoken in the village is Hindi / Brij and falls in the Brij belt being its proximity to Bharatpur. 

There are four Hindu temples in the Village located in different areas. The villagers live with cooperation and harmony.  The villagers live simple, honest and happy life with due respect to elders. They carry and follow the ethical values in their day today life.
