Bagli is one the petty states under the Indore agency. The chiefs of Bagli belong to the Jodhpur family of Rathore Rajputs. The state was founded by Thakor Gokul Das. Raja Ranjit Singh and Raja Sajjan Singh were the last two rulers of Bagli estate. After Independence Raja Sajjan Singh was succeeded by his son, the present Raja Chattra Singh.
