The village is entrance for Teluguganga Gandleru reservoir which is in Nallamala forest. The village is highly irrigated due to that reservoir, one old tank and so many bore-wells. In the month of February every year Ahobilam Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy's parveta ustavam performed in the village. Pulkapana (Wearing of new cloths to God) performs in that village from the hands of N.Krishnamurthy Rao's family from ancient times. Present MLA is Bhuma Akhila Priya she was first time elected by people with her family and population support.
