Small story behind name of chinnakmerla origin. Chinna Akkamma & Pedda Akkamma are sisters. They both were daughters of the chinnakomerla ruler. Due
to heavy rain, the village tank was full of water, and about drown to the
village. By the time they both sisters had sacrificed themselves to save the
village from floods. In memory of their scarifies the twin villages are being
called chinnakomerla and peddakomerla.in memoy of sacrifice the vilage people
are celebrating tirunallu(festival) every year.
