The word "Miglung "is a derivative of two words"Yekmik "(Mycalied species) and "Alung "or "Lung "(Grove or clump), which literary means a grove/ clump of "Gahori Sopa "tree. These two distinctive words are combined into single word by dropping the first syllable as "Mig Lung" = "Miglung" to connote the nomenclature of the village name which means a grove of Gahori Sopa tree. Since that time the local or the indigenous people used to called "Miglung" as the village name for days to come.
