A famous and well known village of Birbhum. The one of the wonderful creation of Goddess is here, is the temple of Lord Shiva is the ream centre of the area. Which was founded By The great Devotee SADHAK KAILASHPATI in medieval of the 20th century. Shivaratri Mela the unique festival of the area is organised here in spring season every year. Around 1 lac of peoples, many of Devotees from several places as well as many tourists from metropolitan cities visit there during this inauguration. It has one High School and two primary school. The total population is around 10,000. A health centre and a Cyber cafe is also here. The connecting route is Tarapith-Dabukeswar-Birchchandrapur which is under postulated, extended to far Sainthia, as well as Rampurhat in reverse.The nearest Communication is Tarapith (7 Kms), and railway Station is Mollarpur(12 Kms). Telecommunication Network is also enriches its communication,as Bharati Airtel and Vodafone India extended their seamless network at the village.It has two clubs namely Dabuk Seva Sangha and Harinaam Sangha. The competition of these two clubs by services takes a trend to conflict in a qualitative way,which can be best seen by Durga Puja.
