Late Mr. Maruti Balkrishna Patil the great human being was born in Masad Bede on 3rd July, 1924. He was freedom fighter, He used to throw stones and shouting against British rule. British had announced open prize to caught him but he had never been caught by British empire. He had never applied for the benefits to the government after independence. After the independence he served the people as per his capacity. He had got many chances to earn black money via liquor, mataka lottery, political connections, land acquisitions but no. He had faith in ethics, values what he has been deserved. He had remained poor till the end of his life 4th January, 2014. Though he was born in Masad he was brought by making fool to his father Late Mr. Balkrishna Budhya Patil at the age of six years in Mumbai predicting he would get good education in Mumbai. The relative who had brought him put him in a hotel waiter at the age of six. Alas. But later he studied Marathi well and good by own. He was brave,trustworthy. He served his life for social justice and equality in Wadala area of Mumbai. He was even beaten up by local Gundas for raising the voice against them. He has only son. the son DINANATH born in 1974 at the age of fifty years old. He married to Yamuna alias Renuka in 1969. She had poor health, She was suffered with cancer and passed away in 1977 in K.E.M. Hospital on 1st December, 1977. The old father took care of his little baby boy and admitted him the then famous Raja Shivaji Vidyalaya, Dadar. He completed his Master degree in Bussiness Management from R.A. Podar College.Both father and son suffered by surrounded community in zopadpatti mohalla. Many times their lives were in dangerous situations. The local police were behind the gundas. Both of their lives motto to live in Peace, co-operation, help to needy people. They were adhered with truth. Due to his truthfulness, very old age and various diseases from he suffered people had started abusing him at different ways. He was harassed by bad people several times in many ways from the society but nobody came forward to save him only because of his poverty lack of human power in home. He used to sell fruits on the road but never took black money from local political leaders which they used to offered him at election times to support them and campaign. He was a influential speaker in crowd.When the Durga Visargan used to held on tenth day only in Navratri, few people from Wadala Village gaondevi mandal came to him in early nineteens, complaining that at the time of immersion of Gaondevi of Wadala village, the devotees left the procession in half way and return their houses to celebrate Gold Leaf festival result, very few people would left in the procession. Then Mr. Maruti Balkrishna Patil advised them take the procession next day. Those people had come to him took 'KAUL' from Wadala's famous Vitthal-Rakhumai Temple. They got 'right' 'KAUL'. Since then in Mumbai and India devotees has started taking procession on eleventh day also, so that both kind of festival people started enjoying.
