Haochong village or Pantong village as it is locally known is one of the oldest Naga village in Manipur.  it is inhabited by inpui Naga tribe with a population of about one thousand. The vllage is about 16 km from the national highway 53. And about 30 km to Imphal via Kangchup Road(KT). But this road is neglected cdue to some vested political interest. Haochong is referred as the 'Western Gate "of Manipur. The village has a rich history.
