Lastala village comes under Manapada Gram Panchayat of Attabira Development Block, Bargarh district of Western Odisha. This village is situated at distance of 6 km from Sukutapali village on NH 6 highway from Sambalpur to Bargarh district. Lastala is quite popular in this area due jewellery works as well as delicious sweet items ( popularly know as lastalia khoa meetha). Before the advent of ready-made jewellery in markets, Lastala was very popular for quality handmade jewellery work done by "Sunari" community. Similarly, sweet dish items and namkeen items by " Guria" community very popular in this area and this community engaged in supplying these items to other nearby markets and villages. In terms of government infrastructures, there is a government Primary, Middle and High school in the village with beautiful campus. There are Anganwadi centres as well as ANM centre in the village to cater health and nutrition service in the village. The village is also very famous for celebration of its age-old festival "Gobardhan Puja". In the village there are various temples including Jagannath Temple, Shiva Temple, Maa Samaleswari temple. The village has a beautiful water-bodies ( locally know has Bandha (pond) and Kata ( waterbodies) to cater water needs of villagers. The Kata is largely used for agriculture as well as fishery. The nearby villages are Sukutapali, Lurupali, Manapada, Tingipali, Kurla, Dangarla.
