This Village is one of the large Panchayati. Agricultural college is located in this village. It is famous for Stone hills (Peruru Banda) where Mother of Lord Shri Venkateswara lives in. Village goddess is Sulalamma (Thrisul). It is said that this village is mother's place for this goddess and Srinivasa Mangapuram is Attharillu (In-law house). Every year goddess visits both the places under the management of Chevireddy Bathi Reddy and Subramanyam Reddy. BUT now the village is spoiled by non-availability of water for crops and biggest real estate business loosing it's greatness like any other villages.
