Being on one of the distributes of the Western Yamuna Canal,  Kidoli-Pahladpur has been a relatively prosperous and progressive village.

Despite being serviced by a very old Mogul/Colonial era canal, this village was founded on brackish water fields. There was no sweet water source for miles in the vicinity of the village till about 1930, when Ch. Prabhu son of Ch. Richa Pal invited a renowned soothsayer, who could divine sweet sub soil water, to the village. The soothsayer went tracking through all the fields in the village carrying his hefty bamboo cane, with the host family and a large crowd in tow. He was bestowed with hospitality in the evenings. This continued for six days. Ch. Prabhu's patience was running out by sixth evening, but the soothsayer beseeched for one more day. Next day, after wandering around various fields, he crossed the canal bridge on the path leading towards village Asaudha, came to a plot of land by the side of the canal, owned by Ch. Prabhu and brothers and stroked his bamboo cane on a spot of land and requested Ch. Prabhu to start digging a well. The family dug for ten days and reached a certain disappointing level and still no water. The soothsayer persuaded them to wait for one more day and dig again. And loo next morning, the first stroke of spade brought spouts of sweet water gushing forth. An artesian well was discovered. It served the village for five decades.

Many sons of this soil have done us proud in various fields of life. Brigadier Romel Dahiya is one of the prominent ones, who, after rising from grass roots, became a decorated Army officer. He passed out of IMA, Dehradun with a Sword of Honour and Gold medal and went on to top all his other leadership courses. He did his Staff College and NDC. He commanded 15 Kumaon and 100 Brigade in J&K. After retirement he is associated with IDSA, New Delhi as its Deputy Director General. His brothers are Col. Jasbir Singh Dahiya and Col. Devender Singh Dahiya and one brother is Sub Inspector in Haryana Police. Both his sons are IIM Ahmedabad graduates and are settled in USA and Singapore respectively.

Then we have Col. Prithi Singh, Bhagwan Singh, DC; Prem Singh Dahiya, Agriculture Engineer; Hoshiar Singh Dahiya, SE; Jai Parkash Dahiya, SDO; Balraj Singh Dahiya, ACP, Delhi Police, and many more. This village is highly educated. Many daughters of this village like Kanta, Ompati, Amrita, Inder, Shakuntala and Bimla have risen to high posts and have done us proud. Many young lads have cleared IIT and have been commissioned in defence forces in the last decade. We wish our village the very best. Daya Chand Dahiya, son of Master Rati Ram Dahiya represented India in AIT Thailand through the Ministry of Agriculture in 1991.

Although the village was electrified during Bansi Lal's first tenure as CM and eventually also received potable water supply, it was connected by road only during Ch. Devi Lal's tenure as CM. The village is just about 3 kms from the Delhi border but it still lacks connectivity. Owing to this factor, there has been mass migration from the village to the cities. The first family to migrate was Ch. Prabhu's when his elder son Major Ram Narain Dahiya(then /Captain) built a house in Delhi in 1953. The new KMP Expressway runs through its fields but there is no entry/exit point for 10/12 kms on either side. There has been a girl's High School in the village since ages which became a Senior Secondary School in 1966. This needs to be upgraded to a college.
