History:Nehal Garh was a home to many Muslim families before partition of India 1947. The most renowned of them were "ARRAIYN" family whose head was "Shah Muhammad", an undisputed figure in both Sikhs and Muslims. When they left for Pakistan in 1947, their Sikh friends took care of their bread and butter till they reached the boarder. At that time, though many people were illiterate farmers, but one retired ICS officer also used to live there and many people were in Army or Railways, which depicts that the culture was quite progressive than other villages at that time. There was one Rajput family that I don't know much about one. Their name was Nazirr Ahmed khan his both brothers were in army one was a veterinary.
