The village is known for famous First Mukhia Late Shri Govind Narayan Thakur, who gave Itwa Shivnagar its own identity. He was the great soul behind making available the ponds - Isri Misri, Makhnahi and Place of famous Hanuman temple and Hat Gachi to the villagers. Due to his dedicated and tireless effort the Kshetriya Gramin Bank Branch was opened in 1989.

At present, the political leadership is not capable enough to have any visionary plan to develop the infrastructure of the village but in future there might be a chance when student would take the village to a horizon with a vision. The famous temple is Hanuman temple which is being built under the leadership of Sri Lakshman Das Jee Maharaj and the approximate budget is around 1 Crore.

The current educational status is below average but new generation has started getting higher education in the field of Engineering, MBA,BEd etc and future seems to be bright in the field of education and related jobs.
