Ranjitpur is a Village in Kanpur Dehat District of Uttar Pradesh State, India. It belongs to Kanpur Division. It is located 23 KM towards East from District head quarters Akbarpur, Kanpur Dehat, 11 KM from Maitha,95 KM from State capital Lucknow Ranjitpur is one most developed village of Uttar Pradesh. This place is required only 30 minute drive from Kanpur city known as Leather City as it contains some of the largest and finest tanneries in India as well as for IIT Kanpur too. Towards the end of 19th century, group of Chauhans family established this place. Late Lt. Col.Shiv Nath Singh was that person who placed this village on the track development by opening a school (10+2) post independence. This place is well connected through road and train track (Bhaupur Railway station, just stop away from Kanpur main railway station, 20 minute by train). This place is well developed and also been identified for smart city projects of government. Ranjitpur has a famous lord Hanuman temple which is known as Pavan Tanay Ashram. Everyday 100+ people come to visit this temple .

The foundation of school laid down by Late Shri. Lt Col Shiv Nath Singh Chauhan Ji had helped the Village Kids to compete with the modern world. Post his death his clan is taking care of school and management. The majority of people is in village are Hindu and major occupation of village is farming. This village is also famous for ex-servicemen as many soldiers from this village contributed in many wars. Many who been educated from this institute are working in multi national companies (MNCs) and government organisations,though village had achieved a many achievement but it is still lacking in sports infrastructure and sports.
