Kural is a nice village-the biggest village in the district. After covering 3kms. on Odgaon-Bhanjanagar road, u have 2 turn 2 right at Godipally.Exactly after 4kms. comes KURAL- the land of bats-the village of BAUNSHARANIs.It is an ancient village which is educationally & culturally rich. In the Princely-State Nayagarh , from the socio-political & economic point of view KURAL had also a significant importance. The Centre Primery School of Kural was established in the year 1904.From this it is clear that Kural was educationally more advanced than Odgaon where the primery school was established 10 years later i.e in 1914.Now in the KURAL G.P. there are 5 Primery Schools, 1 Boys' M.E. School, 1 Girls' M.E. School, 1 Boys' High School, 1 Girls' High School, a Sanskrit College, a small but well-functioning Hospital, a Saraswati Shishu Mandir , an Aurovinda School, & even a small museum "Panchu-Tulasi Sangrahalaya". Apart from having a Gaudiya RadhaMohan Jew Matha , there are more than 15 temples in KURAL. All the Hindu festivals such as Ratha Jaatraa, Jhulan, Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Kartik Purnima, Dola Purnima, Holy etc are celebrated with much pump & ceremony. Danda Naacha (a sort of folk dance) of this village is very famous. Kural is famous for PAALA, &DAASHAKATHIA & GHANTA-BAADYA. Fraternity prevails amongst the villagers. Dadhibaman Jew Temple & the PAHILI BHOGA of Kural is famous in the area. With its natural sorrounding, it is a nice , peaceful & peace-loving village.
