About and History Of Melusar

Melusar is a village located in the Ratangarh tehsil in Churu district of Rajasthan. The main population of the village is of Brahmins who'er known as Purohit. Here Purohits came first after that the people of other caste also settled there. Now the people of other caste like Jat, Rajput, Gurjar, Khati as well as people of other caste belonging to SC's are residing there in good numbers. The main source of lively-hood of the people in village is agriculture. A number of persons are employed in government jobs, both central and state govt. Here some people are running their own businesses and some are engaged in their own profession. Today this village have been much developed. Now, the water is supplied in each part of the village by tube wells. The village is having secondary level school and a village post-office. The village is connected by rail on the branch line of Ratangarh-Sardarshar. The village is also connected by road to the Mega Highway passing through Gogasar village about 4kms. Most important characteristics of PUROHITS of this village is that they celebrate the TEEJ for JHUNJHAR JI DADOJI. I comes nearly in the month February/ March. Melusar is the head of PANCHAYAT. Two other villages i.e. Chotadia and Malasar, are under this village panchayat.
