Most of the people in Katesara are from Gurjar caste. All are Hindus, main occupation of villagers is agriculture and army. Many people are in good positions in the army. According to Mr. Fakir Chand Vyapari (Daggha), two brothers Ballu Hathwala and Bholu Hathwala came from the village (Popiya) of Rajasthan in the 12th century. He left Rajasthan due to disputes between Gurjars and Muslims. There is a very interesting story on this. It is said that once a Muslim Nawab was going through the village with his horse. Then his horse went out of control. A girl was carrying water from there. Her eyes fell on the horse, she pressed the rope of the horse with her foot and the horse stopped there. The Nawab was stunned to see so much strength in the girl. He told the villagers that he wanted to marry her. The girl belonged to the Gurjar caste. That's why the villagers refused, But the Nawab did not agree. So the villagers took a decision that they would lock all the Muslims in a haveli and burn them. The villagers did the same. After burning all the Muslims, the villagers decided that all the people of the village would go in different directions. Two of those brothers Ballu Hathwal and Bholu Hathwal came towards village Katesara and Ballu Hathwala established Katesara village and Bholu went towards Uttar Pradesh. There is also an interesting story behind the name of the village, according to Mr. Fakir Chand Hathwala when Muslims ruled in Kalanaur, Then they harassed the wives of Hindus (Muslims) and daughters of Hindus. But one day a resident of Katesara protested against the Muslims. Then all the people of the village protested against the Muslims under the leadership of Baba Sadhudas. The Muslim ruler sent his soldiers to capture the village. But the people of the village cut off the heads of the Muslim soldiers, again the ruler sent more of his soldiers but the villagers repeated the same. In this event all the neighboring villages also participated in it and made it a revolution. Thus because of the beheading of the soldiers of the Muslim ruler, the people of other villages renamed the village as Katesara.
